I was born in 1971 in Tehran, and I live in the United States since 2019.
I have a Master of chemical engineering degree and I am an artist who has been intimate with drawing and painting. when I did not have adequate time to work on canvas, I draw and paint on the abstract background that I already prepared in my notebooks. My Vision is that nothing is worth recording and keeping as a memento except the beauty of life. My principal goal in painting is to create beautiful and peaceful scenes for the viewers. As a figurative artist, the main object of my paintings is the human form, especially women, and I try to combine my favorite elements in order to create beautifully colored and desirable images. I am very interested in history and culture, and this has been reflected in my works. I am also a fan of Iranian traditional motifs on rugs, tiles, and needlework. In addition, sometimes mentioning those elements, I combine them with the symbols like Bluetooth, barcode, @, undo, etc. The birds are messengers in my works wherein sometimes they herald hope, freedom, goodness, health, peace, love, and sometimes the realization of a wish. The origami birds in my works are signs showing that, in the lack of external messengers, it is possible to construct them inside of the world and so to share them with others. My Style I do believe in the following saying from Hannibal Alkhas: “For us, art schools are as lasting as a fraternity. Until the time that we believe in love, Romanticism, and whenever the style and signature of the artist is clear, Expressionism, and to the time that human beings are engaged with sleep, dream, nightmare, and wishes Surrealism ” appears in artworks. I believe that my works are figurative modern paintings with an abstract background that combines Impressionism, Surrealism, and Romanticism. However, at times one of these schools is overwhelming in my work.
As a female artist, I admire women’s role in family, life, and society.
I feel a strong connection to the concept of motherhood and sisterhood not just in the family but in society.
When we women could consider other women in society as our daughters, sisters, or mothers, then our feelings and behavior toward them would be completely different. Certainly, we would be more friendly, respectful, and supportive..
Sisterhood represents the power of community and the strength that comes from connection and support that is essential for women. This understanding creates the bonds we need with other women in our lives.
The presence of women in my artworks is the celebration of women in life
for small works, I use ink and occasionally acrylic on paper or cardboard, and for bigger sizes, I use acrylic on canvas.
While my university degree is in engineering, simultaneously with that, however, I have attended and passed consecutive courses under the supervision of a master of painting. As the second generation of Hannibal Alkhas (1903- 2010), I was attending courses of figurative design and painting under the supervision of one of his students. These courses are not less than Master of Arts.
